Melbourne is famous for its laneways, street art, and vibrant culture and now Dame Edna Lane has a new star attraction. The new venue Kingpin Melbourne has unveiled a stunning mural that marks the beginning of a bold new era for Melbourne nightlife.
This isn’t just a mural; it’s a statement. Kingpin is redefining what entertainment looks like in the city, blending immersive experiences with the energy and creativity Melbourne is known for. The mural, located in Dame Edna Place, is a visual celebration of Kingpin’s fun and unforgettable social atmosphere.
The laneway is iconic, and with the phrase “Hello Possums” echoing Dame Edna’s legacy, it’s the perfect spot for Kingpin to make its mark. This artwork transforms the space into a destination for locals and visitors alike, adding to Melbourne’s renowned laneway art culture.
The mural signals more than just art, it’s the start of something big. Kingpin’s new Melbourne venue opening promises to shake up the city’s entertainment scene, offering 8 different activities, an open kitchen and restaurant, licensed bars, and social spaces designed for connection and play. It’s the beginning of a change to Melbourne nightlife, and this mural is the first glimpse of what’s to come.
To bring this vision to life, Kingpin partnered with Juddy Roller, Melbourne’s leading street art collective, and internationally acclaimed artist Adnate. Known for their large-scale impactful works, Juddy Roller and Adnate infused the mural with bold colors and cultural depth, perfectly capturing Dame Edna's as well as Kingpin's vibrant energy. This collaboration reflects Kingpin’s commitment to supporting local art while creating unforgettable experiences for the community.
