  1. Explore the Kiwi Park

Located in the heart of Queenstown, the Kiwi Park is a must-visit for families! 5 acres of wildlife and beautiful surroundings, there’s so much here for kids to enjoy. From an unforgettable experience getting up close and personal with fascinating animals at the conservation shows, to guided tours around the park and a visit to the on-stie honeybee centre - family activities don’t get better than this.

 

  1. Go on a bike ride on the Arrowtown Millennium Trail

Starting from Dudley’s Cottage, Arrowtown Millennium Trail runs along the edge of the Arrow River! Popular for families, the trail takes around a 1 hour with a distance of 3.25km, featuring cool pools and rope swings, there’s lots of little things to enjoy along the way. A great Autumn spot to appreciate the colourful trees and gorgeous scenery, this track is also covered by shade so can be enjoyed just as much during the summertime.

When it comes to exploring things to do with family in Queenstown, there’s so much this beautiful destination has to offer! Pack up your picnic blanket, grab some delicious snacks from the shop and head over to Glenorchy to soak up the views. This rustic town is paradise for outdoor lovers, and is located at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu, the Glenorchy lagoon walkway has lots of picnic tables and areas to sit whilst admiring the views.

This experience is perfect for children of all ages, to get the full package, take part in a farming tour which includes a scenic cruise, a guided walk around the farmyard and to top it off a yummy afternoon tea!
